Our teachers are experienced teaching kids, and we offer a free trial lesson for you to get to know the teacher and try out the learning method.

About our language school

We are a team of 17 teachers, based in Zagreb and across Croatia. We love teaching Croatian and over the last 13 years we’ve taught well over 3000 students from all over the world, from absolute beginners to advanced level.

We teach in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and are constantly developing and evolving both our methodology and materials to keep things fresh and up to date.

For our youngest students, we have developed unique learning methods with a strong focus on active, spoken language, as well as games, songs, and borrowings from the world of drama and acting.

My son Hektor (9 years old) has been learning Croatian for a while now and is showing marked progress. He has never lived in Croatia and uses Croatian as a third language in everyday life, so it was important for him to learn to read and write correctly in Croatian and improve his pronunciation.

The individual program that was set up for him is well matched to his skills and needs and it enabled him to progress quickly, especially in areas where his knowledge was deficient. He has expanded his vocabulary beyond the standard word fund used for everyday practicalities, developed understanding of Croatian grammar and significantly improved his pronunciation. Maja, his teacher, is very skillful with children and succeeds in interesting and engaging them in the subject matter and making learning fun.

We came across Let's Learn Croatian via the internet and it was quickly clear that this was exactly what we were looking for. As an international family living in Germany, we were looking for a way to introduce our twins Viktor and Gabriel (7 years old) to the Croatian language.

How kids' lessons work

INDIVIDUAL KIDS' LESSONS

During one-to-one lessons, which are always live, your child will work intensively on their Croatian language skills at a pace that suits them.

Each lesson lasts 45 minutes, and ideally you should plan a further 45 minutes between lessons for you child to study and complete any homework that’s been set.

LESSON SCHEDULING

You’ll get access to your child's teacher’s calendar, in which you’ll see available time slots and can schedule lessons directly.

Your child's lessons can be cancelled easily up to 24 hours in advance at no cost.

BETWEEN LESSONS

Between lessons, your child's personal teacher will be available by email to answer any questions.

You'll be able to find homework assignments along with all of the teaching materials used in your child's personal learning library on Google Drive.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM

We teach one-to-one lessons with Skype and all your child will need is a webcam, a headset and an internet connection.

During the lesson your teacher will use a virtual whiteboard to share files or pictures and also videos, cartoons, music, games from various online learning tools.
